Max Skipper, DOTW for 5/27-5/31!

Max Skipper is the DOTW for the week of 5/27-5/31. Max is a 3.5 year old Lab who's been coming to Dog Days since late 2010. He often visits with his "uncle" Stormy Bay. When he's here with Stormy, that's who Max plays with; when Stormy isn't here with him, he'll play with almost anyone else. He likes to play ball, and is a bit of a goof - when he's excited, he'll roll on the floor, but he doesn't just roll, he throws himself onto the floor and flails around down there for a bit, grinning the entire time. He's very entertaining. He's also got a really sweet side. We always enjoy having him visit with us, and are happy to make him the DOTW this week. Congrats, big guy!

Bentley McCarron, DOTW for 5/20-5/24!

Bentley McCarron is the DOTW for the week of 5/20-5/24. Bentley is a 2.5 year old Cavachon who's been coming to Dog Days since he was just 6 months old, in early 2011. He usually comes with his buddy Rocky, and that's who he plays the most with, although he's a pretty happy boy and will play with anyone else too. Bentley always announces his presence at Dog Days so we know when he's arrived - even from the parking lot. He has a lot to say up front. :) But once he gets in the play area, he focuses on playing, not barking. We always enjoy having Bentley come visit with us, and are happy his mom trusts us with him. We love you Bentley, congratulations!

Romeo and Beauford Holley, Honorary DOTW for 5/13-5/17

Romeo and Beauford Holley are the honorary DOTW for the week of 5/13-5/17. Romeo and Beauford first came to Dog Days in September of 2010. Romeo was a 9 year old beagle; Beauford was a 7 year old beagle mix (mixed with something with a droopy face, either basset or perhaps bloodhound). The boys were that rare combination of playfulness and gentleness, and they moved between the small dogs and the large dogs seamlessly. They generally played with each other, although Beauford, who was the more happy-go-lucky of the two, would often play with other dogs as well. Romeo was more of an observer. We have named them honorary DOTW this week, because both dogs passed away recently. They were wonderful dogs, and they will be missed. Our hearts go out to the Holley family, and we are thankful that you entrusted your boys to our care. We loved them very much. Run free at the Bridge, Romeo and Beauford.

Sadie Zahn, DOTW for 5/6-5/9!

Sadie Zahn is the DOTW for the week of 5/6-5/9! Sadie is 9.5 year old Lab (mix probably) who's been coming to Dog Days since 2010. Sadie is very playful for a gal her age, and will play with almost anyone who will play with her. Her special boyfriends recently have been Charlie and Henry. When Sadie gets excited, she has a lot to say, but she does eventually quiet down. We all love Sadie very much - she's a bit of a quirky dog, but super sweet, without a mean bone in her body. She loves her human attention almost as much as her dog attention. We always enjoy her visits, and are happy her parents trust us to take care of her for them! Congratulations, Sadie, we love you!

Buddy Kuhlman, DOTW for 4/29-5/3!

Buddy Kuhlman is the DOTW for the week of 4/29-5/3! Buddy is an 11 year old beagle who's been coming to Dog Days since August of 2005, so we know him very well. Buddy has always been a pretty laid back fellow - he enjoys his socializing, but is usually happy to just hang out and observe. He does like Joyce's Murphy quite a bit, and plays with him whenever Murphy visits the small dog area. Unlike alot of beagles, Buddy is relatively quiet, and only barks when he gets excited. He always enjoys his people attention, and we always oblige. We're happy to finally make Buddy the DOTW this week - it's about time! Congratulations, Buddy, and Murphy says woo woo!
