Fred Meade, DOTW for 7/9-7/13!

Fred Meade is the DOTW for the week of 7/9-7/13! Fred is a 9.5 year old Sheltie (or perhaps Collie) mix. Fred has been coming to daycare with his brother Teddy since January 2010 (when his parents brought him home as a companion for Teddy). Fred plays in our small dog area with his brother, but he's a pretty good-sized boy. He's very laid back, and mainly just hangs out. Fred has a habit of sneaking up next to you, and when you turn to look at him, his long pointy nose is RIGHT THERE, an inch from your face. He will just stare at you, until you pet him. Works every time. :) We always enjoy having Fred (and Teddy) come visit with us. Congratulations Fred!

Winston Walters, DOTW for 7/2-7/6!

Winston Walters is the DOTW for the week of 7/2-7/6! Winston is a 12 year old mix - we don't really know what kind of mix, but he looks like a big dark gray schnauzer-y kind of dog. Winston has been coming to Dog Days since late 2005, so he knows us well. He's an old man now, but still enjoys socializing in the play area. He now comes with his little sister Poppy in tow (Winston, you've got some work to do there!). Winston has always been one of our favorites here - he's just a big gentle giant of a dog who loves his people attention and just hanging out. We love having Winston visit with us, and are so happy his parents trust us to take care of him. He has a special place in our hearts. We love you Winston, congrats!

Baily Anih, DOTW for 6/25-6/29!

Baily Anih is the DOTW for the week of 6/25-6/29! Baily is an almost 8-year old Miniature Dashchund and has been coming regularly to Dog Days since early 2011. Baily always makes his presence known with his bark - he barks hello, he barks goodbye, and he barks when he plays. He likes to play ball with the other small dogs, and is always ready to play with Brutus or Happy. He also loves to cuddle with his people whenever he gets the chance, and we usually let him. We always enjoy Baily's visits, and are glad we get to see so much of him. Congratulations, Baily! Woo-woo!

Boomer Johnson, DOTW for 6/18-6/22!

Boomer Johnson is the DOTW for the week of 6/18-6/22! Boomer is a big 12 year old Golden/Lab mix. Boomer was one of the our first clients, and has been coming to Dog Days off and on since October 2004 (!). Although we don't have too many pictures of him when he was a young man, we do have some more recent pictures. He's an old guy now, and isn't as mobile as he used to be. But he still loves to be social, tries to play a little ball, and loves attention from all of us. We smother him with love whenever he's here. We love you very much Boomer, and know that Dog Days wouldn't be Dog Days if it weren't for you and your wonderful parents. It's about time, old man - congratulations!

Ubu Mendelson, DOTW for 6/11-6/15!

Ubu Mendelson is the DOTW for the week of 6/11-6/15! Ubu is a 3.5 year old little Boston Terrier who's been coming to Dog Days since 2009. Ubu is REALLY ball-focused. She particularly loves the holee balls that we have in our small dog play area. She is one of the best retrievers ever, and can outlast anyone when it comes to playing ball. She is always entertaining when she comes to visit - she wiggles in excitement when she arrives, and her ears go up, then down, then up, then down. Her best friends (besides the ball) are Brutus and Bowzer, who like to play ball almost as much as she does. Congratulations, Ubu!

Buddy Chilton, DOTW for 6/4-8/8!

Buddy Chilton is the DOTW for the week of 6/4-6/8! Buddy is a 12 year old Golden Retriever who's been coming to Dog Days since 2005. Buddy is one of those sweet old Goldens who just loves hanging out with his people. He's a very social fellow, and likes the other dogs, but his favorite thing (besides human attention) is the ball. He obviously loves to play ball, and doesn't act his age when there's one being thrown. But he also loves to just carry one around in his mouth. We love having Buddy come visit us and are thankful that his parents entrust him to our care. He's a special boy. Congratulations, old man! It's much deserved. :)

Ziggy James, DOTW for 5/28-6/1!

Ziggy James is the DOTW for the week of 5/28-6/1! Ziggy is a 1.5 year-old shih tzu who comes to Dog Days with his brother Pressley. Ziggy has been coming here since he was a tiny little thing - well he's still a tiny little thing, but he was littler then, when he was 5 months old. Ziggy was pretty timid when he first started daycare, but has grown into a happy and well-adjusted little guy. He spends alot of his time playing with his brother, and chasing the dogs that are chasing the ball. He also likes Henry M. alot. We are always happy to have Ziggy (and Pressley) hang out with us in the small dog area. Congratulations, Ziggy!
